Associate Professor Tabitha Mulyampiti is a distinguished academic researcher and gender consultant based in Uganda. She is currently a senior faculty member at Makerere University within the Department of Women and Gender Studies, where she has been a pivotal figure in advancing gender transformative policies and academic curricula in East Africa for over two decades. Her work intersects political science, gender studies, and international relations, with a specific focus on: Feminist theories, Women’s political representation and governance; and Gendered impacts of globalization and digital transformation.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she documented the role of women’s savings groups in community resilience, exploring how these informal financial systems mitigate economic shocks. Recently, she has been instrumental in aligning Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) with national development goals in Zanzibar, focusing on the "Blue Economy" and gender inclusion.
